- Operate a “Scroll” “Independent Chuck”
- Operate band saw
- Operate drill press
- Operate knee mill
- Polish various valve parts to manufacturer specifications
- “Rough out” in-house fabricated parts
- Machine flanges to within ASME 16.50 specifications
- Drill & tap holes
- Knowledge of advanced measuring tools (calipers, dial indicators, tape measures, thread gauges, PMI guns, profilometers, thread measures and veneers)
- Advanced learning of multi-pitch and taper-pitch thread cutting
Education & Experience

Skills & Abilities
- A clear understanding of machining safety
- Demonstrates proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Proper knowledge to operate rotating equipment
- Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required)
- Basic oral & written communication skills
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals efficiently and vice versa
- Demonstrated “can do” attitude
- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelines
- Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
- Lifting: up to 50 pounds
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
- Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
- Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
- Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.
