Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, doughs, and other confections, adhering strictly to recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry tools, and other baking appliances safely and efficiently
- Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked items for daily service or catering orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Package baked goods securely for retail display or catering purposes with attention to presentation and preservation
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredients’ freshness and restocking supplies as needed
Experience
- Proven pastry preparation experience in a bakery or culinary environment with high-volume production familiarity
- Skilled in dough preparation, and food handling techniques
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and other baking tools efficiently
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while demonstrating creativity in pastry presentation
- Previous catering or food industry experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly
