Job Overview
I am looking to hire someone who likes to help people. Our firm culture is laid back and family friendly. Preparing taxes isn't the funnest job but we try to make it as fun as possible and keep things simple. We don't put up with rude or sketchy clients. The demand for help with tax preparation and advising is more than I can keep up with myself so I'm taking the leap to grow to help more people. In order t do that, I am looking for someone who can help get out some returns that values family and work balance, comes in with a positive attitude and just do the best you can. Our main industry is agriculture, but we also help other small businesses and individuals with their taxes. I don't expect you to know everything. I don't know everything. We just figure it out and help as many people as we can strategically without taking on too much and burning ourselves out.
Duties
- Help prepare individual, corporate, partnership, trust, estate, and non-profit tax returns with precision and attention to detail
- Help establish processes for a growing firm.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies
- As a small office we have to wear multiple hats but that keeps things interesting and less mundane routine tasks.
Requirements
- A positive attitude
- Experience in tax preparation, including individual, partnership and corporate tax reporting
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks & similar platforms
- Communication skills with me and clients but I will train you and set clear expectations
- Certification as a CPA or EA is preferred; additional qualifications in auditing or public accounting are preferred
- Problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
