Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our evening team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in our industrial facility. This role requires a blend of mechanical aptitude and welding proficiency to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment according to specifications.
- Perform regular maintenance and repair tasks to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired parts.
- Perform welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and arc welding to repair or fabricate machine parts and structures.
- Ensure all welding work meets quality and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications to complete assigned tasks.
- Operate various machine tools to fabricate or repair parts, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Adjust and calibrate machinery and equipment to meet operational specifications.-Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment is operating safely and effectively.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or apprenticeship in millwrighting and welding.
- Proven experience as a millwright and welder, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
