Painter/Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter/Laborer to join our team. We are a brand new company with just myself & another employee. As I scale I’m looking to hire more experienced professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various painting and labor tasks on construction sites, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting and a strong understanding of construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Assist in fixture installation and frame carpentry as needed.
• Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate application of materials.
• Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
• Work with stucco and other materials for renovation projects.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site.

Skills

• Proficiency in residential painting techniques and practices.
• Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs.
• Understanding of color theory to achieve desired finishes.
• Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols.
• Ability to assist in fixture installation and frame carpentry tasks.
• Competence in reading schematics for project execution.
• Knowledge of stucco application techniques for renovation work.
