POSITION DESCRIPTION
A Project Manager at SET Environmental / WCEC is responsible to:
- Manage the field and project team successfully and collaboratively
- Go on site visits to build scope of work and report back to designated field staff engineer who will be putting the quote together for customers
- Collect samples if necessary
- Be a team player, expected to load mercaptan and scrubber equipment trailer with a group of people before a field project
- Lead projects in the field and mitigate issues that arise
- Mentor and develop field team members while effectively managing the overall team
- Keep mercaptan trailer, storage trailer, and scrubber trailers stocked with necessary equipment to complete projects
- Proactively maintain parts after each field project
- Assist field staff engineer in ordering necessary chemicals, equipment, and rental equipment to complete field projects
- Work collaboratively with field staff engineers, project team members, and field crews
- Work in an efficient and effective manner, helping to continuously improve processes at your work location
- Work on site specific safety plans
- Demonstrate lifts of tanks/piping using different types of heavy machinery
- Help field service with scheduled work
- Adhere to SET / WCEC’s quality assurance/quality control procedures
- Follow SET / WCEC’s health and safety policies, responsible for on‐site safety
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-7 years of related industry experience, preferably in utilities, natural gas transmission work, pipelines, or electrical
- Knowledge of evaluating sites and proposing safe removal options
- Heavy equipment certification for telehandlers and mini excavators
- Proven project management experience – preferred
- Knowledge of how to ship waste, classifications of waste and what to look for on manifests
- Obtain and keep current all certifications/licenses required (i.e. Driver’s License, 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training, Confined Spaces)
- Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Read and speak English sufficiently
- Must be flexible to changes in schedule and be available for “on call” status
- Must be able to work in various climates
