Functional Project Manager

Location: Remote - (On-site in Colorado only for the first two weeks)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (with potential for extension or conversion)

A strong background in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Manufacturing industry is mandatory, preferably within the packaged goods sector.

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst / Functional Project Manager to serve as the critical bridge between complex business needs and technical solution delivery. This contract role is central to ensuring all deployed solutions deliver measurable business value and are underpinned by standardized, reliable metrics. A strong background in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Manufacturing industry is mandatory, preferably within the packaged goods sector.

Key Responsibilities and Skill Sets

The successful candidate will be a high-impact individual possessing the following core competencies:

• Requirements Elicitation & Management: Lead and execute stakeholder workshops and interviews to accurately elicit, document, and manage both functional and non-functional requirements.
• KPI Definition & Standardization: Collaborate closely with data stakeholders to define, document, and gain consensus on precise KPI definitions that will guide product success and reporting across the organization.
• Data Modeling Collaboration: Assist the data engineering team in establishing Canonical modeling standards to enforce data consistency and enable unified enterprise-wide reporting.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and requirement traceability matrices. Excellent technical writing skills are essential.
• Validation & Quality Assurance: Support development and testing teams by validating that the implemented solution successfully meets the defined acceptance criteria.
• Stakeholder Management: Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with C-level business stakeholders and manage organizational change with confidence.

Required Skill Sets & Experience (Non-Negotiable)

We are looking for candidates who meet the following strict criteria:

• 10 years working as a Business Analyst / Functional Project Manager in a software or data-centric environment.
• Mandatory experience in the CPG, Manufacturing, or Packaged Goods Industry.
• Proven experience with Snowflake (features and ETL within the platform).
• Proven ability to define and document precise KPI definitions and business metrics.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to interface effectively between business and technical teams.
• Excellent technical writing skills and proficiency in producing high-quality project documentation (user stories, process flows, etc.).
• Ability to handle change management and interact with C-level stakeholders.
