Key Responsibilities:
- Food Safety Monitoring: Observe food handling processes throughout the facility to ensure compliance with safety protocols at every stage of production and service.
- Inspections & Audits: Conduct routine inspections and audits of food safety practices. Identify and report non-conformities, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Training Support: Assist in training production and operational staff on food safety procedures, regulations, and best practices.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, audits, training sessions, and corrective actions for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Corrective Actions & Continuous Improvement: Support the identification of areas for improvement and help implement solutions to enhance food safety performance.
- Incident Support: Participate in investigations of food safety incidents and contribute to timely resolution and prevention strategies.
- Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about current food safety regulations, industry trends, and emerging best practices, and apply this knowledge to daily operations.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in food safety or a related industry (preferred).
- Working knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA).
- Must be able to pass a ServSafe Food Handler and Manager Certification course within 2 months of hire.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
