Concrete Preparation & Pouring
Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Concrete Preparation & Pouring
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine layout and dimensions.
- Set forms and molds to ensure proper alignment, elevation, and support for concrete structures.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools, power equipment, and machinery.
- Ensure proper compaction, leveling, and reinforcement for durability and strength.
Concrete Finishing
- Smooth, shape, and finish concrete surfaces, including floors, sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and walls.
- Utilize hand trowels, screeds, floats, edgers, and power tools to achieve the required finish.
- Apply curing and sealing compounds to protect concrete surfaces.
- Create decorative finishes such as stamping, staining, and polishing as needed.
Surface Repair & Maintenance
- Patch and repair damaged concrete by chipping, resurfacing, or re-pouring sections.
- Perform surface grinding, chipping, and sandblasting to prepare for refinishing or bonding new concrete.
- Ensure proper joint placement and sealing to prevent cracking and damage.
Quality Control & Safety
- Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure all safety protocols and OSHA regulations are followed on job sites.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently to prevent accidents and injuries.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with project managers, foremen, and crew members to complete projects on time.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior concrete finishers and laborers.
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in commercial or residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of concrete mixing ratios, curing processes, reinforcement techniques, and finishing methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including trowels, floats, and concrete saws.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, kneel, bend, and work in outdoor environments for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to job sites and ability to travel as needed for projects.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred:
- Certification in concrete finishing or a related trade.
- Experience with decorative concrete techniques such as stamping, staining, and polishing.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
