Qualifications
The following are required or preferred unless otherwise noted:
- Prior supervisory or management experience
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience managing a team of 10 or more employees
- Experience with floor care, including stripping and waxing, required
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience required.
- Ability to pass a department of defense background check
- Availability to work overnights
Key Responsibilities
The Custodial Manager will perform and/or oversee the following:
- Assign daily custodial tasks to team members
- Supervise employees performing cleaning and sanitation duties to ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure all work is completed within required timeframes
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken when needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all applicable regulations
- Oversee health and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer representatives and address any concerns or requests
- Respond to and document employee incidents, accidents, and emergencies appropriately
- Handle employee concerns and promote a positive, respectful work environment
- Complete required reports, documentation, and end-of-day processes
- Lead by example by actively participating in custodial duties
- Motivate and support team members through a strong, hands-on leadership approach
