About the Opportunity
We're seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer / Firmware Architect to join a cutting-edge hardware development team supporting next-generation device development. This is an opportunity to play a key role in architecting and developing low-level firmware that bridges hardware and software for innovative products.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in BIOS/UEFI, embedded firmware development, and system architecture, with experience delivering reliable, high-performance firmware for complex hardware platforms.
What You'll Do
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and debugging of embedded firmware for new hardware platforms.
- Design and implement BIOS/UEFI firmware, bootloaders, EFI drivers, and other low-level system software.
- Develop enhancements, feature updates, and performance optimizations across firmware subsystems.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, validation, and product engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive firmware integration, bring-up, testing, debugging, and deployment for new products.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware/software interactions and resolve low-level system issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and development guidelines.
- Lead firmware development efforts by planning work, managing priorities, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Support architecture decisions and mentor engineers on firmware best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience developing embedded firmware in C/C .
- Strong expertise with BIOS/UEFI architecture, EFI drivers, and boot firmware.
- Experience with embedded systems, hardware bring-up, and low-level debugging.
- Solid understanding of processor architecture, memory initialization, boot flows, and system firmware.
- Experience debugging firmware using JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of firmware development across hardware platforms and embedded devices.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced development environment.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DSP firmware or other embedded firmware subsystems.
- Familiarity with board support packages (BSPs), device drivers, and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, PCIe, etc.).
- Experience with secure boot, firmware validation, and production firmware releases.
- Previous experience leading firmware architecture or technical initiatives.
- Experience working on consumer electronics, peripherals, audio devices, or headset products is a plus.
