Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restoration teams during emergency response and ongoing projects, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Assess damage sites thoroughly to develop detailed action plans for water, fire, mold, or storm-related restoration.
- Operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment such as Xactimate for estimating repairs and documenting work progress.
- Perform cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitation using appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and respiratory protection protocols.
- Conduct mold remediation and asbestos abatement procedures following strict safety guidelines and industry standards.
- Manage on-call coverage for emergency responses outside regular hours to ensure rapid assistance for clients in crisis situations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including reports on water damage restoration, flood recovery efforts, fire restoration processes, and other project specifics.
- Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times to protect team members from hazards associated with restoration work.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on project status and set expectations for the restoration process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the restoration industry with a strong background in water damage, fire restoration, flood recovery, mold remediation, or related fields.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience supervising teams of technicians in high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of industry-standard tools such as power tools, hand tools, Xactimate software for estimating damages, and carpet cleaning equipment.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergency calls with a flexible schedule that includes on-call coverage outside of regular hours.
- Familiarity with safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection measures, and proper handling of hazardous materials like asbestos or mold.
- Construction experience is highly desirable to facilitate structural repairs alongside restoration efforts.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients during stressful situations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable operating company vehicles responsibly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting tasks.
