The Reconstruction Estimator plays a critical role in helping the team win work and provide exceptional service to clients. This position is responsible for inspecting damages, preparing detailed and accurate estimates in Xactimate, and working closely with customers, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure successful reconstruction projects. Job Description
The Reconstruction Estimator plays a critical role in helping the team win work and provide exceptional service to clients. This position is responsible for inspecting damages, preparing detailed and accurate estimates in Xactimate, and working closely with customers, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure successful reconstruction projects. The ideal candidate not only understands construction and insurance scopes but also supports the sales process by building trust with clients and clearly communicating the value of our services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections and walkthroughs with customers and team members
- Review job documentation, photos, and reports to develop accurate estimates
- Prepare complete and organized scopes of work using Xactimate
- Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to help win reconstruction projects
- Educate clients on the reconstruction process, timelines, and expectations
- Help clients understand their options for upgrades or changes beyond the base scope
- Communicate clearly and professionally with insurance adjusters and third-party administrators
- Analyze material, labor, permitting, and equipment requirements for each job
- Deliver well-documented estimates to the team in a timely manner
- Identify and communicate project challenges early to minimize delays
- Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat/referral business
- Support internal handoffs by working closely with the production team after the sale is made
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Xactimate to estimate restoration or reconstruction work
- Minimum 2 years of reconstruction or insurance adjusting experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Proven ability to support the sales process through relationship-building and professionalism
- Experience in restoration, insurance claims, or large-loss estimating preferred
- Familiarity with Docusketch and other documentation tools preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management
- Must have valid Driver’s License to travel to jobsites

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
