Physics Teacher (2026-2027 School Year)

Position Overview

• Teach five periods per day, with the ability to teach multiple levels of physics, which may include:
  • Physical Science
  • CP Physics (Basic - Algebra based)
  • HP Physics (Honors - Trig based)
  • AP Physics C: Mechanics (Calculus based)
• Design and deliver engaging lessons that emphasize conceptual understanding, scientific inquiry, and real-world application.
• Support students in developing strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in physics.
• Incorporate laboratory experiments and hands-on investigations to deepen student learning and engagement.
• Collaborate with the Science Department and administration to align curriculum, assessments, and instructional practices.
• Integrate Servite’s Catholic mission and values into classroom culture and instruction.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the life of the school community.

Ideal Candidate

• Is passionate about teaching physics and helping students develop as critical thinkers and problem-solvers.
• Demonstrates strong content knowledge and the ability to teach multiple levels of high school physics, including AP coursework.
• Is highly organized, student-centered, and able to engage motivated learners.
• Has prior teaching experience (preferred), including experience with honors and/or AP-level courses.
• Embraces Servite’s Catholic identity and mission of forming young men of faith, character, and leadership.
