What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher (Toddler/Preschool) position at ServingSchools?
Winfield Children's House is seeking kind and nurturing individuals to act as substitute teachers in both our Toddler (18 months-3 years) and Early Childhood (3-6 year old) programs.
Hours would vary between 8:00-4:30 on an as-needed basis, with a minimum shift of 4 hours. Full-day coverage includes a paid 30 minute lunch.
The position requires a thoughtful, nurturing, conscientious individual who has worked with young children before and is passionate about Early Childhood education. Experience in a Montessori classroom is a plus, but more important is a recognition of the importance of early childhood education, and a curiosity to learn more about the Montessori philosophy and putting it into practice.

You will be part of a classroom team with experienced Montessori guides, and part of the wider Winfield community made up of two Toddler classrooms for children 16 months through 3 years, and four Early Childhood classrooms, for children 3-6 years old. Our full-time Outdoor Educator and Art teacher round out our talented and caring teaching staff.
Winfield is located in Falmouth, just north of Portland, Maine. Soon celebrating our 40th anniversary, Winfield currently serves approximately 100 students from 16 months through 6 years old.
