BUSINESS MANAGER

RSU 1 is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Business Manager to lead and oversee the district’s financial and business operations. We are looking for a collaborative professional who brings strong budgeting expertise, a commitment to transparency, and a passion for supporting our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and monitor the district’s annual budget.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Prepare financial statements for the Board of Education.
• Manage grants, audits, and insurance programs.
• Supervise business office staff and support efficient district operations.
• Collaborate with administrators on resource allocation and planning.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in school finance, public sector finance, or business management.
• Knowledge of school finance laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, staff, and the community.
  
  

This is a full-time, year-round position beginning on July 1, 2026. Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
