Sanford Pride Elementary is seeking to hire a Resource Room Teacher to support our 3rd and 4th grade students.
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic and responsive educator to join our wonderful special education team to support students' academic learning goals. Responsibilities include developing and implementing the IEP, case managing all aspects of the special education program, supervising one Educational Technician and collaborating with our many specialists and general education teachers.
Sanford Pride is a PreK - Grade 4 school located in the heart of Sanford, Maine. In addition to district curriculum and programs, our school has a service dog program that serves all students and adults. Our community also has a greenhouse and an outdoor classroom. We believe these resources provide students with real-world opportunities such as being good stewards of their community.

Responsibilities Will Include
- Demonstrate the competence and flexibility necessary to program for students with academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Create and deliver specially designed instruction in both academic and functional content areas
- Collaborate with the behavior team in order to develop programmatic supports
- Collect and utilize data to inform instruction
- Supervise educational technicians
- Complete special education documentation in accordance with Department expectations, as well as state and federal laws and regulations
