- Authorization as an Educational Technician I, II, or III required
- Knowledge of behavior-management strategies necessary
- Ability to implement behavior plans and individual education plans needed
- Experience working in an elementary school setting helpful
- Experience working in a program for children with emotional disabilities and Autism preferred
- Desire to work in a team-approach environment
- Willingness to assist with toileting may be necessary
- Willingness to learn and use physical restraint and Safety Care strategies
- Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques in the areas of literacy and mathematics preferred
