Outdoor Track Assistant Coach – Waterville Senior High School
Anticipated Start Date: Spring Sport Season

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Outdoor Track Assistant Coach to support our athletes and coaching staff. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping student-athletes improve their performance and character. Responsibilities include assisting with training sessions, meet preparation, and athlete development. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential. Experience in track and field or coaching is preferred.
The city of Waterville is located on the banks of the Kennebec River and is easily accessible from two exits off I-95 as well as Route 201. Outdoor Track Assistant Coach
- Carry out the aims and objectives of the sport program as outlined by the Head Coach. To instruct athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.

- Assist head coach with issues, collection and the overall care of uniforms, and equipment;
- Distributes and collects, when necessary, parent permission forms, records of physical exams, and other paperwork required by the athletic department;
- Secures school facilities and equipment after each use;
- Supervises athletes at all times, including games (home and away), practices, and other team functions;
- Reviews, when appropriate, the student athletic handbook with team members, with special attention being given to academic eligibility and the substance abuse policies;
- Promotes the proper care of equipment, uniforms, and facilities at all times;
- Cooperates with head coach and other staff members and discusses confidential matters privately with appropriate personnel;
- Strives to improve coaching skills by attending clinics and using resources provided by the head coach;
- Perform additional tasks as directed.
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
- Previous coaching experience preferred
