Service Now for Adult Persons, Inc. – Queens Village, NY
Job Summary: Under the direction of upper management the custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of offices, storerooms, hallways, bathrooms, dining room and garage disposable areas, as well as overseeing maintenance of outdoor areas.
Responsibilities include, but no limited to:
· Sweep, Mop, Wax and Vacuum all floors. Move and replace the furniture as needed.
· Dust and Wash walls.
· Empty waste baskets, recycling cans and garbage cans.
· Clean and Polish Furniture.
· Replace toilet paper, paper towels, and soap in bathroom as needed.
· Clean toilets, sinks, floors, walls and mirrors as needed in all bathrooms.
· Arrange tables and chairs in classrooms, dining room, offices as needed.
· Sweep sidewalks and remove snow and ice (schedule/hours might change due to weather).
· Effectively communicate with vendors, including but not limited to landscaper, exterminator and other service providers, regarding facility maintenance.
· Perform any other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
· Good Physical Health. Ability to lift heavy objects.
· Experience preferred, but not necessary.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Positive, friendly and approachable demeanor.
35 hours/ week: 8:00am to 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday and possibly schedule change due to weather/plus Benefits. Salary $36,500.00
