Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Efficiently and effectivelyassistresidentstophysician appointments, outings, scheduled and non-scheduled activity trips.
Assistresidents moving intoand out of the van/bus; transfer between wheelchair, standing, and seating asappropriate.
Operate the van/bus wheelchair lift andassistwith allfunctionsof the lift.
Ensureall safety requirements have beenfulfilled prior to leaving on trip (seatbelts, clear aisles, wheelchairs secured,etc).
Keep all necessary mileagelogs andsafety checkdocumentationin proper order.
Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of van/bus.
Report any safety or mechanical issues to the Director of Maintenanceor Executive Directorimmediately.
Maybe responsible forroutine maintenance ofvan/bus, such as oil changes and tire rotation.
Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled byExecutiveDirector.
Maintain confidentiality ofresident, community,employee, and companyinformation.
Maintain working knowledge of fire and disaster plans and responsibilities under emergency conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
