Duties
- Assist patients with personal care activities to promote independence and comfort, as outlined in the Wyoming Home Services Grant (WyHS) contract and the state policies on WyHS. The State policy manual is the primary guide for providing in-home CNA services. The manual is easily accessible in the main office
- Follow the schedule for home visits as set by the WyHS supervisor and Executive Director
- Keep current of changes in the client care plans, schedules, and problems
- Report any suspicion of elder abuse or neglect to the Executive Director
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, including homemaking services
- Keep current in licensing and education requirements
- Document patient observations accurately in medical records while adhering to medical terminology standards
- Refer all questions from clients, their families or friends, or other senior services personnel concerning client welfare to the Executive Director in a timely manner
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; current Wyoming state licensure required
- Must have a safe driving record and current Wyoming Driver's license
- Must have experience working with senior citizens and be physically able to perform required tasks and services
- Must have the ability to keep accurate records and detailed charting. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of client information
- Shall not share personal issues with clients, or issues of Services for Seniors, Inc.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) certification; CPR certification preferred
- Shall not accept any gift, gratuity, tip, or other form a home services client.
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screening, a criminal background check, a DFS background check and random drug and alcohol screening
