Job Summary: As a Sewer/Drain Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining sewer and drain systems. You will perform various tasks related to sewer and drain maintenance, including inspection, cleaning, and repair of sewer and drain lines. You will work with state-of-the-art tools and equipment to identify and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of sewer and drain lines using video cameras and other diagnostic tools to identify problems and determine the best course of action.
- Perform routine drain cleaning and maintenance tasks, including using hydro-jetting and snaking equipment to clear clogs and debris from sewer and drain lines.
- Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning sewer and drain lines, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to provide accurate assessments, recommendations, and estimates for repairs or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including detailed notes on repairs, parts used, and labor hours.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and deliver high-quality service.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining repairs or replacements, and offering preventive maintenance advice.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency services as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Sewer/Drain Technician or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in plumbing, sewer, or drain maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, sewer and drain lines, and related tools and equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair plumbing issues efficiently and effectively.
- Familiarity with local plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations.
