Overview
As a restoration technician, you are often the first ServiceMaster employee on a job site. You are responsible for obtaining signed paperwork, scoping the work required, documenting the loss through photos, sketches, and notes, and helping to perform the mitigation work as needed, including demolition and building a drying system.
Customer service is a cornerstone of our business. Employees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and interact with customers and clients in a respectful and informative manner. Restoration technicians must explain the mitigation process to customers, answer questions, and communicate with insurance representatives to provide updates, obtain approvals, and clarify field-related concerns.

Core Job Responsibilities
- Inventory and load the van with equipment, products, and supplies needed for jobs.
- Provide initial site inspection
- Conduct demolition after fire or flood
- Remove carpets, carpet pads, drywall, insulation etc' from job site
- Haul debris from job site to truck as well as moving customer's personal items away from work area
- Move dehumidifiers and fans to and from work site
- Drive and operate truck and machinery (Extraction machine, weighted carpet extractors, dehumidifiers etc')
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, and clean equipment appearance.
- Clean and disinfect equipment regularly.
- Inspect equipment for damage.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle maintenance checklists and equipment maintenance checklists, as assigned.
- Clean and maintain the warehouse, office, and grounds, as assigned.
- Utilize cleaning products, mechanical equipment, and personal protective equipment properly
- Clean soot from contents
- Clean houses that have encountered fires
- Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.
- Show respect for customer's home/property.
- Additional job duties upon request.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency with TSheets or similar time clock software
- High school diploma or GED
- Skilled in demolition and removal of appliances/fixtures
- Dependable and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must have a Valid Class C Oregon Drivers License and acceptable driving record

The technician must be prepared to:
- Move up to 50 pounds occasionally (lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.)
- Work in unconditioned environments (extreme cold or heat)
- Enter confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
- Wear PPE, including respiratory protection
- Operate powered tools such as saws and drills
- Work from heights
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
