What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at ServiceMaster Professional Building Maintenance?
Job Summary
We’re looking to hire a hard-working Janitor who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. You’ll be responsible for all cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, and emptying trash. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic and takes pride in a job well done. This can be considered an entry-level position for the right candidate who is willing to train in professional janitorial processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily
- Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
- Report on areas cleaned and notify the manager of safety concerns or maintenance repairs
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in janitorial services preferred, but not necessary
- Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Excellent stamina and physical health
- Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
