Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial or residential spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash disposal
- Handle chemical agents safely for sanitation purposes, following all safety protocols and handling procedures
- Conduct custodial tasks like window cleaning, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfection to ensure hygiene standards are meet
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning equipment or moving supplies to prevent injuries
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and proper handling techniques is highly desirable
- Experience operating floor buffers and other cleaning machinery is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to chemical handling and manual lifting practices
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when needed
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning will support your success in this role
