Position Overview
The Project Manager plays a dual role in overseeing the operational success of restoration projects while contributing to business growth through relationship building and community engagement. This position ensures efficient project execution, customer satisfaction, and team leadership, while also actively developing new business relationships and increasing revenue in the designated area.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Project Management
- Lead field operations for restoration projects, ensuring efficient execution of Water, Fire, and Mold remediation services.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to maintain quality and profitability.
- Perform on-site inspections, scope jobs, and oversee project progress from start to completion.
- Supervise and coordinate field technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
- Maintain and update job documentation, including Xactimate estimates, customer communications, and job management systems.
- Ensure proper equipment and materials are available and utilized efficiently on all job sites.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
- Handle insurance-related communications and documentation to facilitate claims and approvals.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new technicians and operational team members.
Business Development
- Actively seek new business opportunities by developing and maintaining relationships with insurance adjusters, property managers, and local businesses.
- Promote company services through community outreach, networking events, and industry-related functions.
- Maintain a Priority Customer List to track key relationships and potential leads for revenue growth.
- Work closely with the Sales team to identify new market opportunities and expand service reach.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by providing insights from field experiences and customer interactions.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in restoration project management or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of insurance restoration, Xactimate estimating, and industry standards (IICRC certifications preferred: WRT, ASD, OCT, FSRT, AMRT).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and team members effectively.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, capable of handling difficult situations with professionalism.
- Ability to work independently while fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Previous sales or business development experience is a plus, especially in a restoration or service-based industry.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Proficiency in using job management software and mobile technology for reporting and documentation.
- Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching.
- Availability to work on-call, weekends, and in emergency situations as required.
- Work in various environmental conditions, including water-damaged and fire-affected properties.
