Responsibilities
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and appliances in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical diagrams to troubleshoot issues accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure peak performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose complex HVAC & appliance problems using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Operate company vehicles safely to reach job sites promptly while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and logs for all repairs, installations, and inspections performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating repair procedures and maintenance tips to clients.
Skills
- Extensive experience with HVAC system repair, refrigeration technology, appliance installation, and mechanical systems repair.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proficiency in appliance repair across various types including kitchen equipment and other household or commercial appliances.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC & appliance technology combined with experience in maintenance, repair & operations (MRO).
- Ability to operate construction tools safely and effectively; previous construction experience is a plus.
- Skilled in equipment repair and maintenance with a focus on air conditioning units and HVAC/R systems.
- Leadership qualities that enable guiding junior technicians or assisting in team coordination efforts.
