ServiceAgent is an AI implementation partner helping mid-market businesses deploy custom automation systems that transform their operations. We work with companies doing $5M-$100M in revenue across industries like senior living, healthcare, and commercial services—building AI solutions that handle hiring, customer communication, and internal workflows.
We're a small, fast-moving team based in downtown Austin. You'll work directly with our founder and get hands-on experience in B2B sales, marketing operations, and AI-powered business transformation.
We're looking for a sharp, resourceful Business Development Intern to help execute our direct outbound campaigns. This isn't a "fetch coffee and sit in meetings" internship—you'll be running real campaigns that drive revenue.
What you'll actually do:
- Research and build targeted prospect lists of decision-makers at mid-market companies
- Prepare and coordinate direct mail campaigns (yes, physical mail—FedEx packages with custom company audits)
- Track campaign performance and manage follow-up sequences
- Help craft personalized outreach messaging based on prospect research
- Coordinate with our team on Handshake recruiting and campus engagement
- Support sales operations including CRM management and pipeline tracking
- Attend client calls and learn how enterprise AI deals get closed
- Currently enrolled at UT Austin or another Austin-area university
- Available to work in-person at our downtown Austin office (360 Nueces area)
- Organized and detail-oriented—direct mail campaigns have a lot of moving pieces
- Comfortable with research and digging into companies to find the right contacts
- Strong written communication skills
- Genuinely curious about AI, sales, or startups (ideally all three)
- Available 15-25 hours per week with some flexibility around your class schedule
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Sales or customer-facing roles
- Marketing or copywriting
- Any exposure to automation tools or AI
- Real experience running B2B outbound campaigns from start to finish
