Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented In-Person Food Safety Trainer to join our team in New York City. In this vital role, you will lead engaging, hands-on training sessions to ensure food safety compliance across diverse food service and manufacturing environments. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and food safety protocols. Responsibilities

  • Deliver dynamic, in-person training sessions on food safety principles, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and quality standards tailored to various food production settings.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality audits and inspections to verify adherence to established quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate staff on proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), sanitation procedures, and hazard prevention measures to promote a safe working environment.
  • Assist facilities in implementing and maintaining quality assurance (QA/QC) processes, including data collection, analysis skills, and reporting for continuous improvement.
  • Support manufacturing teams by providing guidance on compliance with ASME codes & standards, FDA regulations, and other legal requirements relevant to food safety.
  • Collaborate with management to develop customized training materials aligned with quality systems and regulatory/legal standards in production.
  • Maintain detailed records of training activities, quality inspections, and audit outcomes to support ongoing compliance efforts.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within manufacturing or food production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, GMP practices, FDA regulations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct quality audits, inspections, and data analysis effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, engaging in-person training sessions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and quality inspection techniques.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience with PPE use and safety protocols in a manufacturing or food processing setting is highly desirable.
