What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician position at Service Tool & Plastics?
Classification-Non-Exempt
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
This position is responsible for ensuring production Up Time. Ensure scheduled maintenance and repairs are completed and machines are wired up and electrical work is complete per standard in a thorough, safe, and timely manner. Complete all work orders as set forth verbally or written communication presented by management.
Essential Job Functions
- Ability to wire new machinery based on manufacture electrical ratings.
- Ability to troubleshoot and work on Industrial electrical systems
- Perform electrical repairs as needed
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical malfunctions
- Troubleshoot various mechanical and equipment failures to determine needed repair.
- Water and cooling tower maintenance
- Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Replace broken or worn hydraulic lines and replace hydraulic cylinders as necessary
- Repair equipment throughout plant.
- Maintain maintenance logs for auditing purposes
- Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment and complete documentation
- Electrical certification preferred
Position Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
· Good organizational skills
· Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
· Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, environmental, and safety
procedures including following OSHA
· Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set company
standards
· Capable of operating a forklift in a safe and cautious manner to the satisfaction of the supervisor. Does require
certification.
· Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds; able to bend and reach overhead; required to stand and/or walk constantly for up to 8 hrs
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
