What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mold Setter position at Service Tool & Plastics?
Summary: The mold setter will set and remove plastic injection molds from molding machines. They will complete all paperwork and documentation associated with this process
Essential Job Functions:
- Set and Pull molds according to established procedures.
- Load programs for Robots and Machines.
- Train to answer any and all buzzers, alarms and red lights.
- Completes line clearance, mold upgrades, removes auxiliary equipment and clean around machines.
- Communicate with plant manager, shift supervisor, quality assurance, tool room and maintenance about any problems that may exist related to specific department.
- Keeps all areas within responsibility neat, clean and organized at all times.
- Maintains compliance with company safety, housekeeping, rules and procedures to help maintain a safe, healthy work environment.
- Ensures that practices are compliant with the requirements of the ISO 2001: 2015 procedures.
Competencies
- Possesses the technical and mechanical skills to set and pull mold. Required skills level obtained through on-the-job training.
- Skills to start and persist with specific course of action while exhibiting high motivation and a sense of urgency, willing to commit to long hours of work in order to reach goals, working with little or no supervision.
- Substantial interpersonal skills for effective communication and interaction with all levels of the organization.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt at 40 hours per week.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
