Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on food service equipment, including appliances, ovens, fryers, and refrigeration units.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design drawings to accurately identify issues and implement solutions.
- Install new HVAC/R systems and food service appliances following industry standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and refrigeration guages to repair electrical components and mechanical parts efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for all work performed, adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC system installation or repair.
- Proven service technician experience with a focus on commercial HVAC/R systems or food service equipment.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems and experience working with HVAC/R equipment in various environments.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; capable of performing equipment repair using welding or mechanical techniques.
- Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning units, boilers, or other mechanical systems.
