Salary: $55,000–$65,000

Service Specialists Recruiting Agency is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a respected accounting firm in Madison, MS. The firm specializes in commercial construction accounting and audit and review work, giving its team the chance to work on interesting, specialized projects and build strong client relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and manage accounting work for commercial construction clients
• Perform audit, financial statement review, and other accounting work
• Work directly with clients and manage assigned engagements
• Analyze financial information and resolve accounting issues
• Manage deadlines and take ownership of assigned projects
• Collaborate with team members on client needs and accounting questions
• Build knowledge of clients and their businesses
• Quickly grow into managing your own book of business

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Experience with audit or financial statement review work
• Experience working with construction clients
• Experience with construction bond programs strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Commercial construction accounting experience is highly preferred
• CPA is not required
