Plumber Helper

Job description

Dedicated Plumber Helper with 6months to 1 year of experience to assist plumber/mechanic in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems. This role requires a proactive individual with basic plumbing knowledge and hands-on experience who is eager to grow in the trade.

Responsibilities

· Assist plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of water, gas, sanitary, and drainage systems.

· Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.

· Measure, cut, and assemble piping under supervision.

· Help troubleshoot leaks, clogs, and fixture problems.

· Prepare and clean work areas before and after jobs.

· Follow instructions from lead plumbers and supervisors carefully.

· Maintain tools and company property in good working order.

· Learn and follow NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) plumbing codes and safety standards.

· Participate in ongoing on-the-job and classroom training to develop trade skills.

· Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

Requirements

• Must have 1 year experience
• Must have SST/OSHA/F60/G60
• Clean, safe driving record.
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communications.
• High integrity with advanced social skills and ability to make solid connections.
• Strong desires to be a better technician tomorrow than you are today. Outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
