Sewer & Drain Sales

Position Overview:

The Sewer Salesperson works closely with the Sales Lead and Install Coordinator and works directly with the Sewer or Plumbing Manager to maintain the department’s budget and performance. The Sewer Salesperson will aid in achieving sales KPIs including department sales and capacity goals. The Salesperson will listen to our customers, work with them to determine the best services and new equipment to meet their needs.

A Typical Day Looks Like:

• Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identifying and pursuing new leads through various channels such as referrals, cold calling, door-to-door canvassing, and networking events.
• Consultative Selling: Conducting thorough assessments of homeowners' sewer systems to understand their specific requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Presentation and Proposal: Preparing and delivering compelling sales proposals to educate homeowners about our services and demonstrate the value proposition.
• Negotiation and Closing: Utilizing effective sales techniques to overcome objections, negotiating terms, and closing deals with homeowners, maintaining a 30% close rate and/or a $5000 average sale rate.
• Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service, addressing inquiries, and following up post-sale to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaboration: Coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and timely resolution of customer issues.
• Market Intelligence: Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth and maintain a competitive edge.

What Does It Take?

• 3 years proven track record of success in residential sales, preferably in the in residential/light commercial plumbing and sewer systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
• Ability to use mobile technology and field service applications to take photos, document job details, and complete work orders.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven with a passion for sales.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Clear background check, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and drug screen.

Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in confined or restricted spaces. Employees must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely navigate residential job sites, including basements, crawl spaces, and outdoor areas. The role may require inspecting sewer and drain systems, accessing equipment and work areas, and traveling between customer homes throughout the workday. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, wet or damp areas, dirt, dust, odors, and other conditions commonly encountered in residential sewer and drain environments.
