Responsibilities
- Measure and cut insulation materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specific spaces according to blueprint specifications.
- Install various insulation types such as fiberglass, foam board, spray foam, and mineral wool in walls, ceilings, attics, floors, and other building areas.
- Follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation aligned with project requirements.
- Use ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while ensuring compliance with safety standards like power tool safety and ladder use.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., knives, tape measures), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders safely and work at heights comfortably.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to insulation fitting.
- Familiarity with safety protocols including power tool safety, ladder use, caulking techniques, and general site safety procedures.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or building frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Construction site experience with an understanding of blueprint reading and technical schematics is highly desirable.
