What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Associate / Driver position at Service Plus Inc.?
Service Plus is the leading Commercial Kitchen Equipment repair company in New Jersey and we are continuing to grow! We are now seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate/Driver to thrive within our company. Our growing customer base covers most of New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and parts of Upstate New York.
Responsibilities:
- Daily pickup of packages at local UPS terminal utilizing company vehicle.
- Handle daily shipping & receiving of all items and orders.
- Maintain accurate daily records for all shipping & receiving.
- Maintain consistent inventory of warehouse and technician vehicles.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory of warehouse and technician vehicles.
- Coordinate periodic physical inventory counts of warehouse and technician vehicles.
- Load & unload trucks, pick, stock and consolidate products & materials.
- Assist in various warehouse & stockroom maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.
- Interact with customers and company personnel directly, via phone and email.
- Pick up inventory from supply warehouse/distributors, if needed.
- Deliver items to technicians, if needed.
- Communicate with management to help improve processes and efficiencies.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn
- Must be able to implement verbal instructions as given
- Must have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
- 2 years warehouse experience preferred but not required
- 2 years forklift experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment
- Valid Driver’s License & clean record required
- Ability to multitask
- Sage 100 accounting/inventory software; experience preferred but not required
- Barcoding software; experience preferred but not required
- UPS World Ship; experience preferred but not required
Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
