Operations Department | Full-Time | Onsite – St. Louis, MO
Service Metal is looking for a driven and curious engineer who wants to make a real impact on warehouse operations. In this role, you will work directly with senior leadership to improve how our warehouses run, design smarter processes, solve real-world problems, and help to scale our operations for growth.

JOB SUMMARY: You will partner closely with the Vice President of Operations to identify opportunities, implement improvements, and help shape the future of our warehouse network. This is a hands-on role where your ideas can quickly turn into real operational impact.
This is a full-time, onsite position based at our St. Louis Corporate Headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and lead initiatives that improve safety, accuracy, and productivity across our warehouse network.
- Dig into operational data to uncover inefficiencies and turn insights into improvements.
- Develop and standardize best practices across all warehouse locations to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Help design and optimize warehouse layouts, expansions, and new facilities.
- Collaborate with Operations, IT, and cross-functional teams to identify, test, and implement system and ERP improvements
- Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve overall warehouse performance and cost structure
- Identify and implement technology solutions to improve operational performance.
- Oversee and coordinate warehouse improvement projects.
- Promote a safety-first mindset in all process improvements and operational changes.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
There is a combination of office and warehouse-based environments. There will also be regular interaction within warehouse settings, including all normal sights and sounds of large distribution centers.
Traveling to our warehouses to get a boots on the ground evaluation is part of the job.
