Saw Operator

We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Saw Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for cutting metal tubing, bar stock, and other raw materials to the required dimensions for use in our machining and production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial saws to cut metal tubing, bar stock, and other materials according to work orders and specifications.
• Read and understand measurements, cut lists, and basic shop paperwork.
• Accurately measure material using tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Verify material type, size, and quantity before cutting.
• Maintain accurate cuts while minimizing material waste.
• Label, organize, and stage cut material for the appropriate jobs or departments.
• Safely load and handle raw material.
• Perform basic saw maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist with other shop duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous machine shop, saw operation, or metalworking experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work safely around machinery and metal materials.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and handling materials.
