Commercial Painters, Waterproofers and Caulkers

Extremely busy 44-year-old Commercial Painting and Waterproofing Company seeking to hire painters, waterproofers and caulkers immediately in the Tampa area!

Looking for individuals with experience with any or all of the following trade skills:

· Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.

· Prepare walls and stucco for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, power washing with or without detergent, etc.

· Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (i.e. plaster)

· Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture

· Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools

· Able to apply paint by spray application and/or back roll method

· Apply varnish and other finishes

· Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

· Work with other constructions professionals, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers to prepare units

· Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping

· Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure completion of each project in an efficient, timely manner

· Match paint samples for touch-ups and other projects

· Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers

· Taping off areas as needed

· Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when the project is complete

· Silicone and/or polyurethane building joint sealants

· Window sealants and glazing

· Building expansion joint assemblies

· Fluid applied and/or sheet membrane air and vapor barrier systems

· Pedestrian and vehicular traffic coating systems

· Below-grade waterproofing systems (fluid applied, sheet membrane and/or bentonite)

· Concrete grinding and floor prep

· Concrete sloping

· Concrete repair

Skills:

· High School Diploma/GED preferred

· Commercial or residential painting experience preferred

· Reliable transportation and clean driving record

· Ability to complete projects on time and on budget

· Excellent communication and team-building skills

· Ability to climb ladders and carry equipment

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Attention to detail

· Physical dexterity

· Strong ability to follow directions

Must have valid Driver's License and dependable vehicle.

Must be able to work 40 hours a week plus overtime when required. Job site locations may vary.
