What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Service Connect Global?
Our customer service team is the main point of contact for people who need help with orders, accounts, and general questions. The work is a mix of steady day-to-day interactions and the occasional trickier case that needs a bit more thought. Most of your day will be spent on the phone, on email, or in live chat, working through customer requests and making sure each one is handled properly before moving on to the next.
If you're a good listener, communicate clearly, and take pride in doing the job properly, you'll fit in well here.
What You'll Be Doing
On a typical day, you'll be:
- Answering customer inquiries by phone, email, and live chat, usually handling a mix of quick questions and longer, more detailed conversations
- Resolving issues accurately the first time where possible, and following up on any cases that need more investigation
- Processing orders, returns, refunds, exchanges, and account updates using our internal systems
- Logging every interaction with clear, accurate notes so the next person picking up the case has what they need
- Escalating more complex cases (billing disputes, technical issues, complaints) to the appropriate team, with a full handover of the details
- Answering product questions and helping customers understand their options, without pushing a sale
- Keeping an eye on response times and picking up shared queues when the team is busy
- Flagging recurring issues or gaps in our processes so we can improve them over time
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- A clear communicator in writing and on the phone, with good spelling and a professional tone
- Calm and patient, especially when a customer is frustrated or upset
- Detail-oriented — accurate with names, order numbers, account details, and notes
- Reliable and punctual, with consistent attendance
- Comfortable learning new systems, and confident switching between two or three tools during a call
- Able to manage their own time during quieter periods without needing to be told what to do next
Previous experience as a Customer Service Representative, Call Center Agent, Client Support Specialist, Help Desk Agent, or Retail Associate is helpful, but not required. What matters more is a steady, professional approach and a genuine willingness to help people.
What We Offer
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Weekly pay
- Paid training from your first day, covering our systems, products, and how we handle common customer situations
- A consistent weekly schedule you can plan around, with shifts set in advance
- Ongoing coaching and feedback from experienced team leads
- Support from managers who've worked the phones themselves and understand the role
- Clear opportunities to move into senior rep, team lead, or supervisor positions as you gain experience
