In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems, and electrical components to restore optimal operation.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to improve efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.
- Operate hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with HVAC system installation projects.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating repair procedures and system status to clients.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and environmental safety standards during servicing or recharging HVAC units.
Skills
- 3-5 years experience with mechanical systems installation and maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and building automation system layouts effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles for troubleshooting or system upgrades.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, soldering irons, welding equipment, and ohmmeters for precise repairs.
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting across diverse HVAC systems.
- Ability to perform HVAC system maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Certifications such as EPA certification for refrigerant handling are required.
