About the Fiscal Technician Role

As a Fiscal Technician within our Children & Youth Finance team, you'll play a vital role in supporting financial operations through accounts payable, billing support, payroll assistance, reporting, and fiscal record management. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and motivated to support accurate and compliant financial practices in a fast-paced environment.

Fiscal Technician Core Responsibilities

• Process and review accounts payable to ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Communicate with providers as needed to resolve invoicing or payment discrepancies.
• Monitor contracts for billing accuracy and identified outcomes.
• Assist with payroll processing and calculate payroll adjustments when necessary.
• Support the creation and completion of reports throughout the year to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Gather, organize, and distribute supplemental financial information as needed.
• Review developed budgets and supporting documentation for accuracy within assigned program areas.
• Ensure invoicing, billing, and financial documentation comply with all applicable regulations and organizational requirements.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Experience using Dynamics or similar financial/accounting systems preferred.
• At least one year of experience in record keeping, fiscal records, accounting support, and/or financial management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting practices and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
