This is a project-based, temporary position. Work will be assigned based on active projects and business needs. Please note that this role does not guarantee continuous, year-round employment or daily work hours. Candidates may be called to work on an as-needed basis depending on project availability.
Purpose of the Position:
The Non-Inventory Receiver oversees, and coordinates activities related to non-inventory items such as project related materials, tools, and equipment. The primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and organization of these resources for both the client and Serviap Logistics. This includes implementing policies, managing workflows, and continuously improving inventory processes. The role also involves coordinating transport, setting up and managing the storage area on site, and providing mentorship and training to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception and Inspection: Supervise the reception, inventory, and organization of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Flow Management: Oversee the conservation and management of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring optimal application.
- Access Control: Manage access to the storage area to ensure security.
- Organization and Cleanliness: Set up and maintain a clean and organized storage space.
- Operational Tasks: Execute and coordinate operational tasks as directed by management.
- Process Improvement: Design and implement methodologies for inventory and process optimization.
- Team Training: Provide training and mentorship to general inventory assistants and skilled labor.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of inventory processes.
- Inventory Control: Receive and inspect materials, manage inventory movements, and update inventory records on an ongoing basis during project deployments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal and client Purchasing Departments and other areas to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Safety and Quality: Ensure compliance with client safety standards and quality policies, including training team members.
- Customer Service: Prioritize customer satisfaction by adhering to internal policies and processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in inventory management, warehouses, or logistics.
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in English.
- Basic knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
