Janitor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to ensure they are clean and presentable.
• Conduct industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to support overall building upkeep.
• Handle custodial responsibilities including restroom sanitation and waste disposal.
• Support commercial cleaning efforts in offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Participate in residential painting projects when needed to enhance facility aesthetics.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are maintained and stored properly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and safety protocols is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
