Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly tasks to connect pipes and fixtures securely.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems on construction sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and HVAC technicians to coordinate project tasks.
- Use basic math skills to measure materials, calculate pipe lengths, and determine proper fittings.
- Lift heavy materials safely during installation or repair work while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on plumbing installation or repair.
- Knowledge of construction plumbing techniques including pipe threading, schematics reading, and system assembly.
- Familiarity with welding processes related to plumbing applications is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment in a construction environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical knowledge related to building infrastructure is desirable.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience with commercial driving is advantageous but not mandatory.
