Material Planner

Position Overview:

ServerLIFT, LLC, the preeminent name in equipment handling for the global data center industry for over twenty years, is seeking a Material Planner. The Material Planner executes and monitors all activities related to purchase orders, supplier deliveries, and material availability. This role ensures timely supply of components to support production schedules while maintaining strong communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Issue and manage purchase orders based on planning and demand requirements.
• Confirm supplier acknowledgments, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Track vendor shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate delays, shortages, or quality issues to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate return-to-vendor (RTV) processes for defective or excess materials.
• Monitor material availability and expedite as needed to avoid production delays.
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve blocked invoices and delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate PO and receipt data in ERP/MRP/QuickBooks system.
• Generate reports on open orders, supplier performance, and shortages.
• Support continuous improvement within supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in planning, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and logistics operations (preferred).
