Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and detailed floor scrubbing to maintain pristine surfaces.
• Handle and apply various floor cleaning chemicals safely, following all safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, waxers, and carpet cleaning machines to achieve optimal results.
• Conduct floor refinishing tasks such as waxing, buffing, and sealing to restore and enhance the appearance of different flooring types.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies, equipment, or furniture while adhering to proper manual handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas by performing janitorial duties like trash removal, dusting, and restroom sanitation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with environmental services standards by using eco-friendly products and practices whenever possible.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of floor care techniques.
• Skilled in floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to deliver professional-grade results.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely with proper knowledge of floor cleaning chemicals and their applications.
• Proficient in operating various cleaning equipment including vacuums, polishers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
• Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks related to supplies or equipment movement.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Knowledge of environmental services practices to promote sustainable cleaning solutions.
