Responsibilities
Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physician or nurse practitioner with procedures
- Provide instructions to patients undergoing testing/procedures
- Clean and sterilize medical supplies and equipment Assure cleanliness of patient clinical areas
- Provide coverage for a fitness center in absence of regular fitness center staff
- Assist with clerical/administrative duties as needed (greet patients, answer phones, enter computer data, auditing medical records, mailing correspondence)
- Participate in health promotion and wellness programming as directed by the Project Manager/Clinic Administrator
- Required to perform audiometric hearing exams
- Other duties as assigned within your scope of practice
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Two (2) Years Certified Medical Assistant Experience
- Maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (BLS) certification and or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the health Care Providers (2-year certificate) and American Red Cross First Aid Certification
- Shall hold current certification as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) from the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC).
